Well screw me sideways and…

It’s been forever since I wrote here. Life keep finding stuff for me to do. I got 3 jobs, going in for operation very soon (removal of my thyroid gland), and also at the same time that I am hospitalized, my apartment is getting moved. Much happening at the same time.

Today is my pre-operation meeting. Where I will get all the info and such about the OP and what will happen etc. I am not nervous at all, at the moment, just slightly annoyed that they are having that meeting 9.30 AM so that I will have to skip a few hours of work, ’cause I have tons of stuff to do.
Oh well!

I will write more later (at latest just before the OP).

Me and the lady got the apartment we wanted! Moving in feb 1st. Short notice. Need to empty two apartments until then (mine and hers) and will have to pay rent for all apartments until march (3 months notice on endind the contract) so rent will be a BITCH (10k SEK / month) for a while…

But it will be so worth it. Expect pics and such as soon as we get access to the apartment!

At Night We Rise!

Heya all!

Sorry for the lack of updates. Basically since before christmas what I have done is taking it very easy, being a general slacker. I really needed a small break from everything and to just have time to catch up on my TV-series, play some WoW (acctually not much) and spend time with my oh-so-wonderful babe of a girlfriend.

Tonight me, Dina/Moritach (whatever name you know her under) and our good friend Gringo are going to the movies to see the new Beowulf movie. No idea what to expect really.

As usual after weekend and holidays this place (work) is a total mess with a lot of stuff that needs to be done, preferably two days ago, so I better get to it. I will try to update more often!

PS. Just talked to the people handling the apartments (the company). It’s the same company that me and Moritach rents apartments from now. Tomorrow or the day after we will know if we got the 88 square meter 3 room apartment we looked at. It’s basically perfect. Nice balcony with glass windows around it, large living room and bedroom, a smaller hobbyroom and a sizable kitchen! It’s also 400 meters closer to work for me, so I will be able to walk to work in under 10 minutes. Fingers crossed!

Leaving for Norrköping!

So… In just a few minutes I am leaving for Norrköping to work security at the 50-cent concert there. So this will be a short notice. Me and the girl was downtown shopping yesterday and bought the PC-game “The Witcher” which seems like a really really sweet game. Ofcourse, my gamer girlfriend immediately hogged the discs and has been playing ever since so I guess I will have to wait until she is done (don’t mind, I have enough to do at the moment). I got another phonecall from the police the other day informing me that I had PASSED the interview (final decision) and everything and that they wished me good luck with security guard duty once I graduate from the course. As of now, there is no date set for when that will happen but it will be 2 weeks somewhere during spring.Ok, I must leave! I’ll write more when I get home from all this (tomorrow). :)

Hello everyone!

Just came in to work and checked my calendar. This week will be a tough one, I am scheduled to work in 2 other towns. Monday and tuesday in one and wednesday in another. I have thursday off from my daytime job to drive to Norrköping and work security at a 50 Cent-concert. Oh well…

The security-work friday was neat (Nightwish). Their new singer Anette made one hell of a job to be honest, and I was VERY impressed with her voice (live) and how they had arranged more than a few of the old songs to fit her voice. It should be no secret that Nightwish is one hell of a band when it comes to performing and having good contact with the audience, but this was something special… I got to talk to both Anette and Tuomas and ofcourse also the nice ladies in Indica who performed before Nightwish made their enterance on stage. All of them extremely happy with the audience and with their own performance, and they should be!

In other news, I passed the interview with the police with flying colors. They couldn’t give me a 100% answer right there and then because they want to talk to my referees and such first, but they made it very clear that I should expect to undergo the course sometime during spring ’08.

So…

…basically, what just happened was that the cops called me and told me to come visit them thursday. No – no no no – I haven’t done anything bad, it’s an interview of me getting my clearance and badge (will have to undergo a 2 week course if I pass the interview) to work as a professional securityguard. Right now I am very happy, I am just hoping that I will pass it.

In other news. Might be working a Nightwish gig this friday, not sure yet. Me and my friends have this 50-Cent gig coming up the 6th in Norrköping where we will be working security. Though I have to admit that I don’t fancy the artist himself, it’s going to be interesting to work there. He appearantly have a lot of security on his own with him also. Always nice to work with professionals from other countries. You pick up a lot and if you get a chance to talk to someone more in depth you can learn many many things.

Practice yesterday was awesome. It feels like I am making nice progress. I’ve had to turn down my ambition level a notch or two since my body haven’t really been my best friend this year (infections, chestpains, problems with the thyroid gland etc – everything udner control now though) and I don’t want to break myself totally. Talked to my trainer about it and he said he agrees with me and it’s nice knowing that.

Anyhow. Since I am at work, I might have to try to acctually get something done. I just had to blogg this all of me ol’ heart!

Extended AFK!

I am away for 4 days starting friday. I am working for TarantSec (www.tarantsec.se) for 4 days. Back in town monday night. Use cell# if terribly important, else let me work undisturbed. Tahtah! 

Relaxing Weekend!

This weekend has been very soft.
I’ve been playing World of Warcraft, listening to music, and today most of the day was spent cleaning my apartment some and installing a new version of Mac Os (Leopard) onto my computer. While at this, I also reformatted my drive which was in dire need of such a treatment. Ofcourse, with reformatting comes all the tideous reinstalling, and most of the evening now I have spent downloading and installing all the software I need. I only did backups on my music, documents and my pictures-folders. So everything else is fresh.

Back to work tomorrow. It’s late here now – 12.09 AM – but I am not tired, so I might as well finish up with the computer. Checking my calender I have a soft day at work tomorrow so it doesn’t matter if I am a tad slow on the start.

I was out running before. That was quite refreshing. The only problem with it is that its getting so cold outside (-4° C)  that after a while it feels like breathing glass. On the upper hand though, you don’t have to worry about dieing from a heatstroke. I ran to my friends place and returned a portable hard drive I borrowed when reformatting, and back to my place. All in all I think it took about 40-45 minutes. I am still coughing a bit and sniveling like a sick puppy from time to time so I don’t know if I really should train/run, but I couldn’t resist. Not sure about Krav Magen practice tomorrow yet. We’ll see what happens.

Time to install some software and then try to sleep some…

Last hours of the week!

…at least the working part of the week. It would be telling a lie if I said I don’t look forward to have a few days of rest and relaxation now. The week has not been overly exhausting, but I have spent many hours travelling back and forth between different cities and hospitals (work related). I need a pitstop, a pause in the rush, a 10 second breather in this marathon.

Recieved some good news about work though. They want to keep me here until atleast may 31st. Awesome. That means I have a job, even after 31/12 07. I am also getting a quite nice raise on the moneyside of things. I would be a fool to object.

So what’s up right now? Well, I am sitting at work, in the servicecenter. I am supposed to answer calls and give people first line support (it’s not what I do mainly, but it happens) but after 14.30 fridays, this place dies. Everyone leaves for home early, except for the IT-department.
Going to a friends place tonight to just kick back, watch some animé and have some chineese food. Most weekends lately I have been working security at different places so I haven’t really had any peace and quiet in a long time. Got nothing planned for the whole weekend.

Next week though me and my colleagues in the security-buisness are going to Stockholm to work at 4 KENT koncerts. It’ll be nice with some extra money, with christmas coming up around the corner and everything.
